The main reason why Target decided to collaborate with Lilly Pulitzer is to revive its sales. Target had concentrated on the “pay less” part, and seemingly ignoring the mantra “expect more.” The Company had to look for means to meet the demand since the “pay less” slogan without “expect more” could only be feasible during the recess period.
