Graphs can be useful in everyday life. Graphs are helpful tools for displaying important information in an easy to understand, visual manner. If used correctly, graphs can help you keep track of things and simply life tasks (Davis, 2019). For example, when planning a household monthly budget, graphing would be useful to produce an image of where exactly your money is being distributed. When I was a self-employed hair stylist, I used Square to accept credit card payments. At the end of each month, Square would provide information on my profits for the month and, included in the information, was a bar graph displaying my peak busy times for each month. This was a useful source because it was easy to briefly look at the bar graph and determine peak hours. You could, also, compare the current graph to previous months. Graphs are also a good way to track investments, especially when planning retirement. I have a financial planner that sends me monthly updates. These updates always include a variety of different graphs. I appreciate these, as they simplify the information and create ease in understanding. Graphs are useful tools to display data in many aspects of daily life. Attached, below, are some examples of graphs that display similar information to the graphs I mentioned above.
