Equality means providing same resources to all people while equity means giving the people what they need to be successful. In education, the ministry of education should ensure that students have equal access to education in order to promote equality. This is a critical goal because all students will have the necessary resources needed for a high-quality education (Safir, 2016). However, the truth remains that students from disadvantaged environments or schools need more of these resources to be successful. Here is where the aspect of equity comes in.
