As shown in the video, play involves taking up the role of adults and pretending to be handling specific tasks in the society that they observe grownups doing (Britto et al., 2017). It is essential that the adults in the community watch their behaviors to enable the young ones to acquire positive behaviours that help build their character. Some of the critical roles enforced by play are the acquisition of problem solving strategies, positive socialization skills, and the development of language, creativity, and effective communication.
