Within the article How To Use Effective Communication Skills To Drive Success In The Global Workplace the content touches on various ways in which we can learn to communicate with one another in different cultural or global settings. The article touches on different digital communication strategies, the importance of cultural intelligence, and nonverbal and verbal communication considerations. Within the topic discussing digital communication strategies I got a better understanding of how using electronic communication tools can sometimes still be ineffective when discussing matters globally if they are not used correctly. The article states that if using different tools and technologies are not selected and utilized with a clear purpose in mind, then they are not useful. It is important that we remember to establish clear roles and responsibilities for every team member, identify communication channels for different needs, and develop plans for meetings that will keep things on track. Since we work with such a wide range of people with various cultural backgrounds and traditions we have to have cultural intelligence and understand how our interpersonal skills can be utilized in this environment
