Step 2. Conduct an online observation of the identified center or school classroom. During the observation, students will take notes on the daily/weekly routines and activities of the class as well as any upcoming holidays or special events, community field trips, or guests to the class. Specific information on all methods used for communication between school and families (including family nights, parent-teacher conferences, open house) should be identified in the notes to accurately recall the observations and information collected. Especially important to note are strategies observed to engage families from diverse backgrounds, language learning methods used for ELL students, and school approaches to supporting students from cultures other than the majority.

Cornerstone preschool is renowned for its knowledge and research on how young children learn and develop. The preschool is aligned with the Florida school readiness standards with an early literacy component.
