Introduction
Early childhood education is one of the critical steps in education. Ideally, it is meant to form a solid foundation upon which future academic engagements are made. Having said that, there are some of the important critical and sensitive issues that policy makers have to be aware of in regards to early childhood education. Some of those critical issues include the gulf between policies and how they are implemented, the desire for education at that level to emphasize on play, family engagement in the welfare of the child among others. However, all these concerns are coupled up by conscience of time, standards and curriculum, funding, rules and regulation as well as the safety concerns.
